MAIN FUNCTION:

  • To be responsible for the direct treatment of an assigned caseload of patients who are addicted to alcohol or any other mind/mood altering substances.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide group, individual, and family counseling to caseload.
  • Complete assessments, admissions, and treatment plans.
  • Maintain documentation and contact with referral sources (EAPs, Criminal Justice).
  • Generate and send Referral Progress Reports.
  • Participate in weekly case reviews, supervision, and staff meetings.
  • Ensure adherence to Seafield’s policies and confidentiality regulations.
  • Assist with discharge, transitional planning, and referrals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Assessment, referral, and treatment planning
  • Group, individual, and family counseling
  • Didactic presentation and documentation
  • Crisis intervention
  • Age-specific skills (Adolescents, Geriatric)
  • Knowledge of Medication Assisted Treatment

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • CASAC or CASAC eligible, or B/S-B/A with working knowledge of substance abuse disorders.
