MAIN FUNCTION:

  • Assist HR Director with admin tasks
  • Maintain personnel records
  • Apply HR policies
  • Manage benefits
  • Assign roles/system access
  • NonEssential during emergencies

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Update HR policies, forms, and employee manuals as needed
  • Administer employee benefits and maintain personnel files
  • Assist with hiring: post jobs, review applications, run background checks, verify credentials, and onboard new staff
  • Verify staff credentials and licenses annually
  • Check Medicaid exclusion lists monthly
  • Manage Seafield drivers list via NYS DMV
  • Maintain Seafield forms manuals
  • Prepare monthly Staff Development Calendar and HR performance reports
  • Track and support staff evaluations and training needs
  • Stay current on HR-related laws and regulations
  • Handle department correspondence and provide support
  • Perform other assigned duties

COMPETENCIES:

  • Knowledge of employee benefits, HR policies, and labor laws
  • Proficient in relevant software and administrative tasks
  • Strong written, verbal, and analytical skills
  • Maintains confidentiality and works independently

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR
  • 2–5 years of healthcare experience
  • Strong communication skills, detail-oriented, professional, and committed to confidentiality

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Primarily sedentary; mostly sitting with occasional walking or standing
  • Requires talking and hearing
  • Basic vision abilities, including near, far, and focus adjustment
  • Must use standard office equipment (keyboard, mouse, phone, copier, etc.)
