MAIN FUNCTION:
- To be responsible for the direct treatment of an assigned caseload of clients who are addicted to alcohol or any other moodaltering substances.
- User role(s) information systems access as assigned, where applicable
- This position is classified as Essential for emergency closure purposes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides group counseling to an assigned caseload.
- Provides individual counseling as clinically necessary.
- Designs and implements treatment plans and treatment plan reviews.
- Generates referral source progress reports.
- Conducts lectures, seminars, workshops, and taskoriented groups.
- Maintains contact with referral sources, including EAP’s, probation, parole and outpatient treatment providers, etc.
- Initiates Discharge Planning and makes appropriate referrals when necessary.
- Participates in all scheduled Case Conferencing and Discharge Planning meetings for treatment review of clients.
- Attends biweekly individual supervision and bi-weekly group supervision.
- Participates in staff meetings.
- Completes all required consent for release of information forms.
- Conduct Peer Review monthly.
- Enter progress notes and other clinical documentation as needed into the EMR.
- Responsible for approving qualified family members for attendance in the Family Program.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Licensed Qualified Health Professional (CASAC, LCSW, LMSW, LMHC), plus one year of full-time paid experience in substance abuse treatment.
