Description
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Licensed Qualified Health Professional (CASAC or LCSW or LMSW or LMHC), plus one year of full-time paid experience in substance abuse treatment.

MAIN FUNCTION:
                                               
-To be responsible for the direct treatment of an assigned caseload of clients who are addicted to alcohol or any other mood-altering substances.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
-Provides group counseling to an assigned caseload.
-Provides individual counseling once weekly to clients.
-Designs and implements treatment plans.
-Reviews treatment plans on a weekly basis.
-Generates referral source progress reports.
-Conducts lectures, seminars, workshops, and task-oriented groups.
-Maintains contact with referral sources, including EAP’s, probation, parole and outpatient treatment providers, etc.
-Initiates Discharge Planning and makes appropriate referrals when necessary.
-Participates in all scheduled Case Conferencing and Discharge Planning meetings for treatment review of clients.
-Attends bi-weekly individual supervision and bi-weekly group supervision.
-Participates in staff meetings.
-Completes all required consent forms.
-Conduct Peer Review monthly.
-Enter progress notes and other clinical documentation as needed into the EMR.
-Performs other duties as assigned.
